In previous articles I've gone into great depth on my feelings about how Games Workshop handled the release for Shadow War: Armageddon, so I'm loathe to drag all that up again but here's the CliffsNotes for anybody who hasn't been keeping up with current events:
I don't even mean a disaster for me personally. They seem to have weathered any cries of dissent without any significant long-term impact on who they are and what they do. I certainly don't mean it's a disaster in terms of the long-term impact on the company's reputation either. I am quite certain that from a business perspective, the game's been something of a success. Shadow War: Armageddonis a disaster.Īnd no, I don't mean Games Workshop went and did a Dreadfleet, and produced something that people refused to buy. Well, it's official (and by official, I mean I've said it, which means it's not really official, but this is my blog so I'm treating it as such).
